Te Reo Maori

I tried to speak maori for 5 – 10 minutes.

First I made a copy of a te reo maori google slide.

Next I learn more about the maori language, for example: ” Kia Ora” means “Hello”

Lastly I finished a google slide of the shapes where i had to say the name of the shape in maori and tell where the shape is ( In maori )

I enjoyed doing this task because i actually spoke maori for 5 – 10 minutes.

Shot Put – Discus

This week I learned about discus and shot put for HPE.

First Mr Wong taught us how to stand side on, point to where I am aming. For discus I had to make a shelf on my hand to hold the discus. I also had to do chin, knees, and toes.

Next I had to copy Mr Wongs moves to know what I have to do. I had to start off by pointing where I’m going to throw at.

Lastly I had to let go of the cone when I do the chin, knees, and toes. When I let go of the cone I had to stand up and face on the left to throw. I also had to say let it fly at the end of the action.

I enjoyed doing this task. I did well at doing the action. I need to improve on saying the sentence or word.

Informal and Formal

Formal, Informal.

Formal, formal is mostly used when talking speaking to people you never met, or don’t know, For example is you want to get a job and have to send a email, you should use formal laguage.

Informal, informal lagauge is used when talking to people you are really close with, or people you have known for a long time.

Then done a task where I had an informal text then made into an formal text.

 

Rails

First I had to talk about what is a Stakeholder. A Stakeholder is when they gain money from the technology.

Next I had to get into groups of 3 or 4 and explain what skateholder are and how trains benefit on a piece of paper.

After I had to research facts about trains For example : When the first steam train was built in 1804 people were worried that the speed would make rail passengers unable to breathe or that they would be shaken.

Lastly I had to make a google slide and research or write down the facts about trains and have to attribute the picture.

I enjoyed learning about trains. I did well at researching facts about trains

Commanding Conversation

I finished a task called Commanding Conversation.

First I found a photo to put on my Commanding Conversation.

After I wrote about a 2 horses, i was writting about creamy ( White Horse) wanting to play with Brownie ( Brown horse) but Brownie didnt even know Creamy so brownie didnt even want to play with Brownie.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt how to write a Commanding Conversation. I need to improve on my conversation. I did well on finding a writing the Commanding Conversation.

Motivational

I wrote some Motivational Quotes to make people confident.

First i created an google drawring to write my Motivational Quotes.

Next i thought of some Quotes to make people confident, My quotes were ” Be grateful for what you have”.

I enjoyed this task because i got to write some quotes, I need to improve writting my quotes.

School Field

Today I was learning about measuring the Schools field.

First I had to make a copy of the google map and then I have to click the ruler to measure the school field.

After that I wrote how much meters does the sides and top, downs have and corners.

The left and right side of the field is 90 meters. The bottem and top is 64 meters. When I measured the sides and up and downs I took a picture of this and then pasted it to my google draw.

I enjoyed doing this task. I need to improve on doing more measuring.

Synthesinzing

For Reading We synthensized hedghogs.

First I talked with my group about some facts that I already know about hedghogs.

Next I went off and wrote in new information that I found from the video.

Lastly I used my prior knowledge and the new information to create a new idea.

I enjoyed watching the video, I did well was write new information, I need to improve at putting in more information that I already know.

Commenting

I comment on Tamaki Collage’s Movie.

First I learnt the step’s to make a comment, Greeting, Positive feedback, Helpful feedback, Thoughtful Comment, Make a connection, Ask a question.

Then I had to find a video to comment on, I picked an film made from Tamaki Collage.

Lastly I commented on it.

I enjoyed commenting. I did well on making the comment.

 

Shot Put

This week I learned how to play shot put.

First I learnt the skills for shot put, the skills were Stance, Grip, Aim and Throw. The stance is side on and look at the target. The aim is look and aim with the non dominat arm. The Grip is hold the ball with the three middle finger and don’t hold the ball with your palm. The throw is push the ball forward and twist your hips.

Next we had to get a partner and we had to get a ball. We had to throw to our partner I had to do the stance side on. Later on we were finished and we went back to class.

I enjoyed doing shot put, I need to improve to throw properly.
